For those first few months she had no one, and Charlie barely ever visited. For months she put up the pieces of paper with parts from Oliver Twist up on her machine and she kept reading them every day. Charlie was her best friend, nevermind being her brother. She faced other hard things between Vermont and Lowell, but being seperated from Charlie hurt her emotions for at least a few months.
