She's at the end of her rope with her mom dying and losing her sister and how fast the factory work is going, and additionally, there is no silver lining to the loss of Diana. At least with her other trials, she knew she was going through a tough time for the good of someone else. For example, when she lost Rachel, it was to keep her sister happy and healthy. When she has to leave the farm, she's at least getting fed and is helping pay off her family's debt. Losing Diana, however, benefits no one-- in fact, it hurts her reform cause AND hurts the girls who rely on her for guidance-- and it's for an entirely unjust reason. Thoughts?<br \/>\n&quot;<br \/>\nI disagree. Looosing Diana was something that made Lyddie grow stronger. I believe the hardest thing she faced was when she had been aquitted due to moral turpitude. Lyddie leaving left Bridget in tears and left her wallet emptier. It was for te best and she was abut ready to sign the petition, but she lost everything. She had to spend a good deal of money to get back to 'her' farm, now that she has no where to go and no way to earn money for her family. At least when she lost Diana, she could still have hope of money and being able to protect her family.
